Skinny Wheelline

June  2016
The County has hired a consulting firm, Rural Community Consultants, to update the County's General Plan including the resource management portion. This process is planned to be done through the summer and into the fall. We are hopeful that part of this process will include an update to our zoning regulations which would include the A-3 and A-4 Zones. If this process does include an update to our zoning ordinances we will be holding public meetings throughout the county.

March 2016
The Uintah County Planning Commission held a public hearing on March 16, 2016. There was no public comment with regards to changing the zoning in western Uintah County. Planning Commission recommended adding two new Agricultural Zones (A-3 and A-4) to the Uintah County Zoning Code. On March 21, 2016 the Uintah County Commission heard this rezoning issue. The County Commission approved the two new Agricultural Zones (A-3 and A-4). The regulation in A-3 and A-4 Agricultural Zones are currently identical to the regulations in the  A-1 Agricultural Zone. Below is a map of the boundaries for the new zones.
